We need a hotfix that would:<br /> -Return the AD blackhole armour to 1.11 readme status<br /> -Make the ROCKETS (from migs and vx's) actually DAMAGE the AD that are guarding areal units.<br /> <br /> Untill then. Soviet players, read these tips, they will help you fight it:<br /> 1. USE HAMMER TANKS secondary to nullify their effects<br /> 2. Don't use migs as they can't do a thing<br /> 3. Use Teror drones to slow them down<br /> 4. Use flak trooper spam<br /> 5. Use tesla coils (though they can easily be countered by the allied support powers and vindicators]]></description>

But since you're a wiseguy that comments without even watching the replay you really should just quit posting rubbish. about 5-6 ultratorpedoes are required to take out 1 AD in blackhole armour mode (if not more). <br /> EDIT: It was necesary, I proposed it, but they made a mistake, instead of a 35% boost they mistyped a code entry and made it 75%.]]></description>

In order for the allied fleet to win the allies should combine ad's + riptides AT LEAST. Not just spam a unit that has almost mcv like health when it's secondary is on. It's a mistake ea made, wasn't intentional. Besides I've used drednaughts on secondary + akulas to no avail. 				<description><![CDATA[ I just played a 2v2 AM game and it was 2 empires (me and sumbody else) against 2 allies (cccd and sumbody else).  So thats two people in the top 40 with top 200 mates.<br /> <br /> For the match, cccd and myself had a great sea battle.  He spammed the ADs, mixed with riptides and hydrofoils on secondary. Also he had 1 AC later in the game.<br /> I had to spam nagintas, shoguns, yaris to suicide and yuriko every now and then to help. <br /> <br /> I don't know if he was microing the AD everytime with their secondary but he did at times.  <br /> <br /> All in all the AD are now very powerful, BUT they can be beat because we came out with the victory.  I have the replay if you would like to watch, it was a very long game.<br /> <br /> SN1P3RS4U]]></description>

I agree with that, and yes I don't know how well he was microing them in secondary, but he was microing them sometimes at least.<br /> <br /> I just wanted to point out that they still can be beat. Outplayed him, took out his pk spam with 1 spy ifv. Had tanks comming towards his base, infiltrated his ref and teched to T3. He fended off my tank assault just by using javelins and 2 ad's. I could have saved the tanks but I suicided them for taking out a ref because I was AT T3 and had 3 mirages and 1 guradian with a laser pointer WITH HIGH TECHNOLOGY. The firepower of those mirages now was DOUBLED. It was like having 6 of them! Let's see 2 AD's + a few javelins + tier 2 = not more than 5100$ VERSUS 3 mirages + Guardian + tier2 + tier3 = 10300. NOT EVEN 1 AD died. Only the infantry thanks to mirage splash damage.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Zomg they really have made a mistake here. I was playing a 1v1 battlebase beta against a japanese player. Random picked allies for me, and I went about securing buildings with pks and scouting with dogs. As im not a brilliant allied player, although I went air he eventually managed to get enough AA to defend his base. He also managed to kill my scounting dogs, so I didnt manage to see him building a dockyard and nanotech mainframe. <br /> Suddenly there were shoguns on the map. Had this been 1.10 it would of been game over for me. However in the time I took for them to travel the long way round to my base, I'd built a dockyard and teched that particular expansion to t2 and started building ADs. The particular wave of shoguns was bombed to death by my vindis and riptides chased them off. <br /> Next time he didnt leave them undefended taking other ships and seawings with him.<br /> By this time I had amassed plenty of ADs, and microing the bha to the ones with the most health,I only ever lost any to lucky shogun shots.<br /> He had been going navy the whole game, and I only realised by the time t3 ships were rolling in. However my microed ads destroyed everything he had on the water with very very few losses. <br /> <br /> I agree they need to fix this mistake. ]]></description>

You don't say "oh build Tier 3 units" when a massive army of Tier 2 units rolls at you. The game doesn't work that way. Teching is tricky in RA3, not like in CNC3 where you have the money to tech and building massive armies at the same time without even expanding. In order to tech in RA3 you either need to have expanded so you can defend yourself while you're teching (otherwise teching becomes far too risky and there's not enough benefit) or you hope that once you tech you'll get an autowin, aka Shoguns which aren't even autowin anymore. You have to find a Tier 2 or Tier 1 counter.<br /> <br /> The only real counter to ADs that I can see are Vindicators. They just happen to be perfect for this scenario, fast enough to avoid the majority of IFV missiles, packing massive amounts of firepower that they can unleash on a single target before they have time to get damaged. VXes or twinblades would die to IFVs. Vindicators don't. <br /> <br /> And as for any counters to the AD on the ground, remember that the AD is ultimately a support unit. You don't say "oh build Tier 3 units" when a massive army of Tier 2 units rolls at you. The game doesn't work that way. Teching is tricky in RA3, not like in CNC3 where you have the money to tech and building massive armies at the same time without even expanding. In order to tech in RA3 you either need to have expanded so you can defend yourself while you're teching (otherwise teching becomes far too risky and there's not enough benefit) or you hope that once you tech you'll get an autowin, aka Shoguns which aren't even autowin anymore. You have to find a Tier 2 or Tier 1 counter.<br /> <br /> The only real counter to ADs that I can see are Vindicators. Apoc will you adress more issues now that you guys are prepared for a hotfix. Like PK vs buildings/tanks damage reduction and bullfrog 100$ cost decrease in order to compensate for flak trooper cost increase, honourable discharge tweaking ect... The only way I fended off that attack was WITH TWINBLADES. He didn't have any apollo fighters at that time. If he did have EVEN 1 I would have been toast right there. That bought me some time to strike back. That obviously means that nobody can spam them and win. However, they are OP because THEY MAKE ANY FORCE TWICE AS POWERFUL. A single AD adds the health of an MCV across all your units, and for what? $300 more than a Striker-VX. It makes any assault force three times more difficult to kill. There's no Tier 2 unit in the game that can kill ADs quickly, and because of that the main, damage-dealing portion of the enemy force runs complete unchecked, able to kill you without taking any damage in the process, meaning even if you do kill the AD you'll have lost so much of your forces that you're dead. <br /> <br /> An AD on blackhole armor + 1 guardian vs the same cost in Tsunamis? Tsunamis get decimated. Same cost in Guardians vs same cost in Tsunamis? Much closer fight.]]></description>

Please see APOC's official post about the situation:<br /> <br /> "Hey guys,<br /> <br /> So it turns out this was an unfortunate XML error in the patch, we're fully aware and are going to make every effort to fix it as soon as possible. Due to the 4th of July Holiday weekend, we are unable to acquire all the deploy resources to put a patch out this week. So it will not be fixed this week, unfortunately. Apologies for that but the timing isn't great.<br /> <br /> This balance error is impossible for us to monitor and control as its a simple balance exploit that can be abused easily. While we can't tell everyone to please stay away from using the Assault Destroyer in such a fashion, we do politely ask that you refrain from exploiting it as such.<br /> <br /> I will let you guys know next week what the outlook is for a hot-fix. The fix is a simple XML modification, as many of you would know, but we will need to go through all of our STEAM, MAC, etc deploy channels to get it out, which is what takes some extra time.<br /> <br /> Apologies for this error, we'll address it as soon as possible next week.<br /> <br /> -APOC"]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I found out that if you have a naval army and there are a mass of akulas attack it and there is a small island, you could put an assult destroyer on the island and use it's ability to attract all the torpedoes to the AD but instead  it hits the island causing no damage done to your units or the AD and stopping all of the akula attacks. I also found out that the black hole armor even draws in the akula's ability.]]></description>
