i changed it to unit_build and it is fine. i have made a new faction based on futureTec and i can build it but when i play it it loads about 3/4 then stops and after a minute i get a message that it "has stopped working"

There are tons of things that can go wrong there. A lot of code can seem fine during compilation and cause crashes later. That's the bad part about compilation...it's mostly good for the syntax errors detection.

Let the future tell the truth, and evaluate each one according to his work and accomplishments.

i think ive found it but i dont know how to solve it. when building it i get loads of warnings. like:

Warning:Unknown asset 'game object: futureTec airfield 'referanced from 'logiccommand:Command_constructFutureTecAirfield' in file://C:\RA3 mod skd\mods\new age\data\logiccommand.xml.

i also get ones that say this but logiccommand at the start with structures. i get 3 copies as well.

Can I ask if I can play a mod if my version is still 1.0?

There is no mod button to choose on the control center

I did not patch it up cuz my RA3 goes haywire when I patch it
It will only allow me to play the game once then it wont launch again???

You cannot play mods with 1.0 no. You need 1.09 or 1.10

Any ideas what's going on if the patch causes my RA3 to go haywire?
It keeps saying if I can reauthorise the game if i restart it
but i just can play the *** thing every time I patch it


Im on Windows Vista Ultimate btw

How do you add a fourth build line as in uprising? i have the aptui but dont know how to use it

Download the APTUI.
Put its entire contents into your modifications /data directory.
Go into the XML's and change called 'SampleMod' to the name of your mod.
And you're set.

In EvilConker's Sound Tutorial, do the new sounds have to be .wav files, or can they be .wma (what im going to be using) or whatever really

dang it, btw how did you record Microsoft Sam in .wav format, even more, how do you record ANYTHING in .wav format, have you got any special software?

You can record it in .wma, and use a converter to turn it into .wav
Winamp does a good job with that.
