Update: 090201
I have added texture blending, texture settings for water maps and cliff (standard mapping + blending), and various other options. Next I will work on cliff objects and/or cliff texture mapping. Hopefully I can do it by next weekend, I'm busy during the week.

Original:
This is my first post here, and I'd like to post my map generator.
It's in alpha version, it will generate land, tournament land (symmetrical), islands, and tournament islands (symmetrical) maps.
There's some settings you can play with, and you can save/load settings, and edit them as text file.
When you enter a texture setting, it will show a list of (almost) all RA3 textures for you to choose.
I made it in C# over the winter holidays, and it took a lot of time to understand the SAGE engine's binary map format.
I still need to implement texture blending, as well as more decorations for the map.
You can open maps, and see several map views, it will also generate RA3 (almost) official styled thumbs for the map you open.
After you generate a map, make sure you click Save Map and browse to the RA3 maps folder; the program will automtically create the subfolder and put map & preview in.
I welcome any feedback, bugs and suggestions.
If i broke any copyright or other laws, please inform me.
I uploaded it on FileFront:

There shouldn't be any issues.

Cool. A while ago, there was a debate between random map generator vs. worldbuilder. Now, we don't have to worry because we have both.

Very nice work, a minimap maker too . Only played with it briefly since i prob wud just make my own maps, but heres a couple of problems u might like to check.
#1 I cudnt find an option for the change water height (or one to turn the water reflection on so it looks like the water from official maps.
#2 Terrain is unblended. If you can find a way to have it blend the tiles it wud make the generator even better! If not doesnt matter works great anyway and any noob cud easily blend tiles if they rly wanted.
#3 When changing the map type to say islands or w/e the textures ive selected aren't recognised.
Again good job on the generator, im sure many people will find a good use for it .

After playing around with this for a bit, I noticed something: For some reason, it gives me a harmless error message whenever I try to change one of the textures.

This is actually pretty good, good work!
Must've been an *** to code though, maybe EA will hire you now or something.
They NEED you.

So this is in world builder not in RA3 itself right?
If it is on worldbuilder is it possible to put it ingame?
EA look at this, fans are giving the community what they want more than you.

Its an exe that allows you to generate a map based on settings you choose so no need to open wb. Ironic that i was looking for this thread and cudnt find it , but yeah congrats on sticky.

Thanks for the interest and support. I'm working to add the bug fixes and suggestions. Right now the HeightKeys, HeightVals and HeightTextures only applies to land based map types because water maps are generated differently. I'm working on to combine them so you can choose textures and heights for water map as well. I probably won't do texture blending for a while, because there are other stuff I want to do first.
This program is a standalone .NET program, it doesn't need you to have WB or even RA3 installed. I'm thinking that if I become more pro I can make it into a DLL, and make a patch to inject into RA3 so that when you choose to play a map called random it will invoke the DLL to generate the map. Or EA can just port over their old RA2 and TS generator, they could use it for all their SAGE and RNA games, starting with Uprising, hopefully.

Right now, it doesn't even do cliff texturing. It's not that hard to fix in the worldbuilder, but it is pretty annoying.
The default settings for each height should be:
0: 70
1: 140
2: 210
3: 280
4: 350

This however can be pretty useful to skip your map progress from 0% to 80%
