Hey everyone,

Check out this first video interview with Producer Amer Ajami

A few clarifications so it's all in one thread. First off, I made a mistake:

-Uprising WILL HAVE TRADITIONAL SKIRMISH MODE, so you will be able to play agianst the AI with the new units that have been added to each of the 3 factions. We're also adding a huge number of new maps. While this expansion add-on has a huge central focus on single player, we were able to incorporate traditional skirmish. See below for further explanation.

And now for some more consolidation:

-The Commander's Challenge which features over 50 different scenarios is very similar to the General's Challenge Mode. It is not, and I repeat not simply an achievement based mode. This is an entirely seperate component of Uprising comprised of over 50 different challenges which are almost like mini-missions with different objectives and challenges.

-While Red Alert 3 base game is still in its infancy, its important to us to continually give the game strong support with patches, tournaments, etc as it continues to evolve. Our objective with Uprising was not to quickly add a 4th faction to online play. We decided we would try something new and create a campaign expansion that delivered on exactly what many in the community asked for in our research - new UNIITS AND STORY. Uprising provides a continuation of the story line for each of the 3 factions, plus we’ve added a 4th mini-campaign which will be centered around the newest commando, Yuriko. We think you guys will really enjoy the Yuriko campaign and agree that it plays out like nothing you've seen before in a Command & Conquer game. While co-op nor multiplayer are not included with Uprising, we absolutely haven't forgotten our multiplayer audience and will have more info in the coming months ahead.

-Uprising will include a large amount of new multiplayer maps for skirmish play, which we will also make available in near future patches for the Red Alert 3 base game as well. That is pretty cool.

-Uprising will be available for digital download at first release through the EA Store this March, but please rest assured we are looking in to other distribution models which does include retail

-We have not determined the suggested retail price yet for Uprising, but part of the reason why we decided to become a digital download was so that we could pass some of the savings onto all of you out there. We realize that times are tough, so we are making sure that Uprising will be a great value and something that any Command & Conquer fan can afford. More on the exact price in the weeks to come.

Ok good so there will be a skirmish.

Suggestion: $9.99, thats what one of your competitors is selling a similar micro expansion for, one that does have new units, maps AND multiplayer.

I guess the Yuriko campaign will be canon for sure, since it sounds like a prequel.
Other than that I guess the Allied campaign will be canon... or maybe this time all three of them even... Well at least you can count on it being the one that leaves the most possible room for future stories (meaning no total annihilation of the other sides )

Wow, um, so I'm gonna pay for something that will be free later on in patches?

Oh, never mind. I'll still pay for it. It's not like I got the team's polish in my modding works anyway.

Versatile faction player. Yeah, like a Red Mage.

Whatever you do, don't vote for me for "Making Everything Look Like Pr0n" award in Nahilus's "CNC Forum Awards" in the "Off-Topic" section. I'm not like that! :'(

This is an epic fail apoc im sorry. Nobody wants to spend twice the money for the bundle of more missions and more multi player functionality. This is just plane stupid. Im sure in your research of what we want, nowhere did it mention releasing two separate expansions. Very very stupid in my opinion to make us buy two expansions. EA should make this add on free of charge.....

Again, unfortunately EA will $ucker people into buying this. EA should take their time like other companies "Blizzard E" AND release complete bug free games and full complete expansions. Enough of this half-a$$ BS that is going on.

I know it is not your fault APOC and you are just the messenger.

If they sell 2 expansions for 9.99 each and thus achieve the content of an actual vanilla game that has more content than an expansion, then we actually benefit in the sense that we get more content for less price, and the company makes profit in less time instead of having long periods of no income from a project and then having a boost, then drag, then boost. Now it will be more like a steady stream of profit for EA as they release a steady stream of content...

Thats how micro expansions are supposed to work, if, however, the content does not deliver, then this is a bad mistake and THEN you should start chewing out EA. Its not stupid if it works the way it is supposed to work.

All im saying is this expansion, then later on the multi player expansion must deliver awesome content and not cost more than 10 bucks each. If it is 30 US bucks for the multi player expansion and 20 bucks for this, EPIC FAIL.

Yes if the prices are anywhere near that then yes it is an epic fail, they cannot expect getting anywhere near as much money per booster pack as they can from a traditional expansion.

I'm very disappointed with this single player focus.

I thought Red Alert 3 was designed and advertised to be super competitive.

What kind of "research" was put into this that led to EALA thinking people want single player? Not to mention the freaking original game was co op to promote -multiplayer-.

I might have to join the EA fail club. I'm very let down.
