hey everyone
I downloaded the free Tiberian Sun + Firestorm and it took me about 20 hours to get it from the EA servers.
[note] my issue isn't the download speed but its still worth mentioning.
after I extracted it and tried to run it, it gave a message saying: "One or more DLL files were missing or damaged. Please reinstall."
At that time I thought my download was corrupted or something so I started another download that took another 20 or so hours on the turtle EA servers, and guess what, same thing again.

Now I'm not complaining about the speed but twice download with missing DLLs is just annoying.

now before you tell me have you got dial up or something, I don't. I have downloaded 2GB+ files from hundreds of other websites and they get downloaded in 5 hours or less specially from Microsoft or Nvidia sites where the speeds are about 1MB/s. so I really doubt its my connection. Its the turtle EA servers.

Again the connection isn't my concern because if at least it worked I would have been happy but since it doesn't work and having to wait that long really frustrates me.

Now I know I wont get much help from admins or Apoc because clearly they don't care.
So I was just wondering if anyone else has this issue and if so how have they gone about to fixing this.

ok guys just ignore my last post. I just had to be patient and try and run it both in compatibility mode and as admin.
sorry about this.

but for CNC95 I tried everything and still it refused to run on Vista.
I guess I will never play that game again.
Maybe if I get Win 7 and run it in the XP mode it might still work if I'm lucky.
