EA_Apoc wrote:To everyone here, thank you for those of you showing support, and per my update, I can assure C&C 4 is well on its way to a great launch next year, especially with the Beta ready to rock n roll with all of you.

That said, at this time, as much as I wish I could further explain, I simply can't speak to any further details beyond my update. Kane and his soldiers can't hold me down for long, but my cube has been threatened to be penetrated with high toxic levels of Tiberium should I unleash my true wrath. Ok, overly dramatic.

You'll have your shot to check out C&C 4 in the Beta and help myself and our dev team make it a kick-ass game.

Best I can comment for now.

Yeah, we know about it. Its sad we wont get into full detail on it though. But hey, if the game sells high next year... then who knows?

Obviously ЕА bosses have just made those guys shut up.
Apoc's attempts to calm community down had only negative effect so far. For it is not Cnc4 beta or release, but rather post-release support and future of the franchise as a whole we are concerned about. And there was no word about it, which is really worrying. What about that? What about generals2?

How often do I have to tell you? There is no Generals 2, never was a Generals 2, and never will be a Generals 2.

They were, however, pondering making a prequel to Generals - called Brigadiers.
But that was one of the many titles EA recently cancelled.

If you look hard enough you can find concept art for a sequel to Generals, called Field Marshals.
Quite exciting stuff.

But now seriously, what does any of that have to do with the whole thing?
Don't jump to conclusions about support because of this.
Wait for official word. No company in their right mind will ever release a title without at least a few months of support for the growing pains.

Oh and GoS_Ultima, this is a touchy topic for everyone involved - that comment of yours earned a place on the fine line...
Don't make jokes about who should or shouldn't be fired based on your likes or dislikes of the art or whatever.

Apoc, you quickly responded and said that TT won't be canceled.
if we ask you about the departure of the C&C team from EALA once TT is complete, why won't you be able to answer?

who do we have to ask to learn about the bad side of C&C's future?

I hope they don't fire anyone, I don't want EALA's high standard of game development to deteriorate into making shallow games that are pumped out on a yearly basis.

I wonder which part of this joke isn't exactly a joke. How can you know for sure there was no generals 2?

Except for the no Generals 2, it was all a joke, obviously.

Loader - No one.
It is internal EA matters. While understandably it does concern the community with questions like support or the well being of the game's development itself, it is, however, still an internal management issue.

People who work there cannot freely talk about it. Nor should they.

Please respect that.

Not that I'd want a Generals 2, but how are you so sure there would never be a sequel to it?

It shouldve been kept quiet and shouldve been spreaded to the community in the 1st place. Now were all talking about it, on how CnCs is gonna end and stuff....

EA released the news and the rumor mill started spreading around.

No one from EALA started that rumor mill.

Unless I'm mistaken though, these aren't rumors. If I understand correctly, the reality of the situation really is that EALA is going to be practically gone after C&C 4, and the series' status is really up in the air after C&C 4 ships. Why continue to use the term "rumor mill" when it seems like all the "rumors" have sadly turned out to be facts?
