Well your argument for the overexaggeration is a fail. You don't say "oh build Tier 3 units" when a massive army of Tier 2 units rolls at you. The game doesn't work that way. Teching is tricky in RA3, not like in CNC3 where you have the money to tech and building massive armies at the same time without even expanding. In order to tech in RA3 you either need to have expanded so you can defend yourself while you're teching (otherwise teching becomes far too risky and there's not enough benefit) or you hope that once you tech you'll get an autowin, aka Shoguns which aren't even autowin anymore. You have to find a Tier 2 or Tier 1 counter.

The only real counter to ADs that I can see are Vindicators. They just happen to be perfect for this scenario, fast enough to avoid the majority of IFV missiles, packing massive amounts of firepower that they can unleash on a single target before they have time to get damaged. VXes or twinblades would die to IFVs. Vindicators don't.

And as for any counters to the AD on the ground, remember that the AD is ultimately a support unit. It's not the bulk of the enemy force, the enemy will always have PKs, guardians, javelins, IFVs, whatever along, just like nobody builds only Cryocopters. However, it's a support unit that totally doubles or triples the effectivness of the army it supports. Whatever you build is so busy trying to kill the AD that they can't hit the rest of the army and die as a result.

They will never get T2 -> GG.

Walls + Multi Gunner Turret anyone? Javelins at 300$ + garrisons anyone?

Only thing than can really hurt well protected allies early is suicide Tengus with Honourable Discharge, but that's OverPowered IMHO too.

How can they afford to deck themselves out with javelins, turrets, ADs, guardians and pks?

It would take a lot longer to make all that then it would to make 1-2 shoguns / Naginatas / Seawings.

Who is dumb enough to not go airfield. The advantage is just too good, thats what a lot of allied players do. Because once you get AF you become unharrassable, especially vs soviets early game.

Hey guys,

So it turns out this was an unfortunate XML error in the patch, we're fully aware and are going to make every effort to fix it as soon as possible. Due to the 4th of July Holiday weekend, we are unable to acquire all the deploy resources to put a patch out this week. So it will not be fixed this week, unfortunately. Apologies for that but the timing isn't great.

This balance error is impossible for us to monitor and control as its a simple balance exploit that can be abused easily. While we can't tell everyone to please stay away from using the Assault Destroyer in such a fashion, we do politely ask that you refrain from exploiting it as such.

I will let you guys know next week what the outlook is for a hot-fix. The fix is a simple XML modification, as many of you would know, but we will need to go through all of our STEAM, MAC, etc deploy channels to get it out, which is what takes some extra time.

Apologies for this error, we'll address it as soon as possible next week.
