Good thing Javelins are just as deadly if not more with laser lock as opposed the Flak mine, yet the Javelins get a cost reduce and the Flaks get increased. If they were even at 350 even, I'd be fine, but honestly? Why hate one of the few multi-role units the Soviets have.
And it's not like Allies weren't already on par with Soviets. With all the buffs to them, it's a joke now.

Sickle/riptide and tengu now have 25% more armor or less damage (its the same) vs gun attacks from pk IW and conscript which means they will now *** PKs.
Yeah where is map transfer bug fix? :S
Well 30 seconds are better than 60 with still no kick button.

Flak trooper needed the price increase, he was more cost effective than the jav, ALOT,EAs decision to make him 400 like the flak was good, now they would be evenly effective, but EA for some odd reason decided to make the jav 300 buffing the allied almost uncounterable (with empire at least) manspam, those days the only thing that saved you from allied manspam was the javelin bug lol that wouldn't fire

great EA - first starting a thread to "discuss" the patch "suggestions", then the community mostly agrees that the nerfs to the sovs are too much and the buffs to allies unneeded.
then a few weeks no comments and then, mid-season, it's live.
that's true crap. luckily I already learnt to (ab)use vindis and allied manspam, so it's gonna be a lot of "fun" in the future playing RA3.
I hope we can see some statistics how sovs and empire are being ignored by the players. That's the future of RA3: Allied manspam mirror. Hoorray!

I would be fine if they were even prices of either 300, 350, or 400. As long as they were even. But the fact that the Javelin got reduced while the Flak got increased is beyond me.

We made plenty of changes and fine tunes based on community feedback. And in fact, I would go so far to say half of this patch is based on community feedback be it bug reports, extensive balance threads, etc. We won't always agree on community opinions on balance, but we will always take it under consideration.
Play the patch for a while, then come back and let us know if we were right, wrong, or maybe in the middle.
Thanks again to everyone for your feedback to help make this patch possible in many ways.

Basically I've come to the conclusion that the whiners are the 1.10 soviet players who now realize that it will take skill and not overpowered-units to win.
Why the javs decrease and flak increase...because flaks can be transported by blades, and can circumvent most defenses...couple that with the rediculous mine ability which owns buildings...and you have an unstopable force. Javs at best need to be transported by a riptide, which can not circumvent defenses as well, has paper armor and is horrible vs anything that isn't infantry. While the laser lock may be great, it takes at least 2 seconds (even with HT) to lock onto anything, time enough to destory or counter those troops, with the flakkers, the mine ability is instant, and your will almost certainly lose at least 1 building, not to mention that running over flakkers, is a useless and costly gesture, while javs can be squished with no damage to them...in short the flakker was and still is a better combat unit, and as such the jav was buffed to meet it.
