C&C3/KW update: 46 mission maps. Skirmish map packs links removed until April.  XML

Update March 9, 2009:
As of right now, the links are gone temporarily, they'll be back up in April, but through another site. It appears some CNC sites do not appreciate Generals/ZH map packs because they think it's a sharing violation. This may affect C&C3/KW map packs as well so I also took those links down from the Filefront server.

But after over 11000 downloads of all C&C3/KW and Generals/ZH map packs, I decided to eliminate those links temporarily until April but I left the C&C3/KW mission map pack intact. Sorry, guys.

TP GDI M14 Kane's Wrath (50% done - need more creativity on the map. Scripts done but some errors there.) -- used to be a skrimish map for C&C3 and will be a TP mission map for KW. Well, title for mission map is same as the title of game itself.

It's only the skirmish maps, not all of them will work properly. I can't guarantee that because I haven't tested them yet. They're too much.

The next update for the C&C3/KW mission map pack and possibly the KW Skirmish Map Pack will be released on the same day the full version of EpicMod 1.5 is released.

Imo theres no point throwing every mapout there into packs.You want to get rid of the junk first

Most of the junk maps are either repeated, new versions or ones that doesn't fit into that map pack. They have already been gotten rid of.

ive looked around for maps in the past and i always found it hard to get a 'good' map

a good one imo is one that allows for interesting gameplay and looks good from the aesthetic perspective as well

but 90% maps i find are lacking in either of these two aspects

i think a lot of mappers dont see how important it is to check stuff like:
- the amount of blue tib at one location. Too much blue tib = essentially unlim money map = lame gameplay imo.
- size of tib fields in general.... shouldnt be too large and sustain a player for too long
- very importantly, there should be some points of strategic interest/conflict, usually a big mid expansion field, which forces you to fight for its control.
- tech structures far away from the players start locations (equally accessible for both players) so again, theyre something you need to fight for.

I don't know this version of Skirmish maps, they all can be use? I don't want to see AI as ike as vegetable.

I didn't know that you have the permission to put our maps from Thundermods.net in your pack. Or am I right you didn't ask and don't have the permission?

The next CNC3 and KW skirmish map packs will be around Spring 2009 and they will not have Grantaball maps since Grantaball is officially released as a mod. As for the Shai Hulud map, I need permission from the creator or creators that made this map in order to stay on the map pack. If not, then it will not be in the map pack.

The next C&C3/KW mission map pack will be around Summer 2009 (if possible). Only two new ones are added. I don't have time to create more mission maps but I have some ideas already done to create some mission maps. And since that mission map pack is small, it can keep on continuing.

Now since I have released huge map packs on four C&C games, a fifth C&C game will have a skirmish map pack by the time you read this. I need at least 250 in order to go for a release and some of them might require permission by the creator(s). I think you users already know what that C&C game is.
