I'm mainly soviet, but when I play ally I do this quite often. Does anyone else do this? It doesn't speed your money making drastically, but it's the small things that make a difference, especially in an RTS.

The only time I ever shrink a prospector is when I am sending them somewhere to expand.

If your refineries are right in front of the ore nodes, then shrinking prospectors does absolutely nothing. It's only if the refinerh is a long way away the shrinking is any good, but it's stupid to build refineries a long way away anyway.

Well, it actually reduces the time it takes to go from the refinery to the ore node, so technically it speeds up your econ by a bit. I tested on sandbox (just in case) and you carry the same amount of money, except faster. It still takes the amount of time to get the ore on and off the prospector, but like I said, it reduces the time in between these two.

yes, but the ore node isn't ready to put ore on your truck when it gets there, so your truck has to stand still until the ore node's arm is ready, and the arm is set to the same speed as a usual ore run, so, in the end, you end up with the same amount of money.

It's for the same reason that having 2 harvestors in one ore node is useless
