Hey guys,
EALA is dedicated and passionate about C&C 4. We want to assure you that the game is on track for a great launch next year. We’re nearing the Beta, and we hope many of you will participate. Once you have the game in your hands and give it a good test drive, you’ll be able to provide constructive feedback that will help the dev team continue to finesse the game. We’re eager to hear your thoughts.
See you on the battlefield,
APOC

But what about post-launch support? I heard the Live team got axed. And, I know this is a very broad question, but, WHAT THE HECK EA!?
I was led to believe that this series has been quite profitable since it's resurrection. Even BEFORE the resurrection, Generals was said to have been the best-selling PC game on it's launch year. And EA has spent that last few years convincing us that is was, in fact, NOT evil.... well, anymore at least. And it was doing a great job! So now I suppose I have the following questions:
1) How well will the game be supported post-launch? Due to it's online nature I never expected an SDK, and at least C&C 3 and RA3 have them and are recent games so they can easily support the mod community. But patches and updates are still important.
2) What happens to Battlecast Primetime?
3) Planet C&C is reporting that Greg Black, Pete Larsen, Jason Bender, Sam Bass, and Raj Joshi have all been terminated, with Greg Black terminated immediately. If you can even comment on it, is there any truth to this? http://planetcnc.gamespy.com/fullstory.php?id=160696
4) Generally, you (APOC), the fans, and the rest of the C&C team have created a community and a level of dev team and community interaction that should be held up to the sky as a beacon and model for all other dev teams to follow. Seriously, it's second to none. What happens to that? The fans are here, always. What happens on the dev team end?
5) Will C&C4 mark the definitive end for the entire C&C franchise or just the Tiberium universe? With the dev team laid off they'd have to hire a whole new team to pick it up. C&C had one of the most legendary and successful resurrections of any game IP ever. Why the decision to, potentially, kill it?
I understand things are probably chaotic over there so I don't expect answers right away. But it would be really good to know what's going to happen before it does.

why would they need to convince people its not evil. It's based on facts, their are terrorist cells in the middle east and arabs run them so its fair if EA want to make a game about them that they can. Plus thunderbirds did the same, sorta thing with groups of evil arabs and everyone loved that. I cant wait for generals 2, i loved being GLA
