Just so the whole EA-ruined-TS! discussion doesn't rise again here... thought I'd play safe and post this
Ishmael-PG wrote:EA did not rush us on TS. We had some huge issues and got in a chicken-before-egg mentality that stalled us in a major way on getting everything we wanted into the game. We had a few features that took way too much time and in the end weren't worth the effort.
Unfortunately, we also had some staff in critical positions who checked out because they knew they were leaving / quitting. They spread a very negative attitude around the office, which didn't help things at all for those that were trying to get the game done. We also had a few unrealistic dates that upper management were not listening to their staff about not being able to make.
You can't blame the end product on EA at all. That was all WW and internal issues.
Personally, I think it turned out OK given what went on.
There you have it folks.
My original TS box does have one EA logo at the back, but it's the old one, with the EOA blocks.

The operative word there, Valdez, is "questionably".
That's why I hate Wiki.

One question I have is why CABAL has two different faces; a orange blob with computer codes and maps moving around (like the Tacitus) in Tiberian Sun, while in Firestorm its just a blue Humanoid face?
PS, in my story, Rise of CABAL, I use the Blue face.

In FS he upgraded to CABAL 2.0 after downloading the Treachery Service Pack.
Seriously though, he's an AI with a virtual visual depiction. He could change his face as easily as you change your desktop wallpaper. He's a face surrounded by data in TS, a blue head in FS, and a blue skull in KW.
It'd be safe to just assume he's all of the above
...and more.

Thanks for that answer!
Also, just wondering how food would be produced in this world if Tiberium leaches all of the nutreints from the ground? A lot of green houses and such?

Nice question.
And actually TS does show a lot of green technology being used - green houses, solar panels, etc'.
So yeah.
Good.
Thanks for that question.

i always interpreted it as CABAL being built in Kanes image , rather than CABAL being able change its own image at any time.
this would play out in all 3 faces, since in history, people have responded to different depictions of the same figurehead(religion anyone?), all with the same values.
but then again, that is just my interpretation of it all

at this point with the game having switched companies in mid point i think trying to make sense of anything in relation to the others will be difficult if at all possable. westwood must have had a plan laid down for the story after TS but when EA took over that plan was forgotten.
but my question is how did all those tiberium life forms disappear in TW i mean come on we didn't even see them in the red zones (which correct me if i am wrong were worse then the places you would find tib life in TS)

IIRC at one of the KW community summit vids I watched on PCNC this question was explicitly posed to Sam Bass about how the veins and fiends, etc all vanished in less than half a year (already gone in KW act 1) and he mentioned something about how they haven't worked everything out yet in terms of continuity links. At that time the popular assumption was that we were supposed to find out the answer in the Tiberium FPS.

Where do the Tiberium meteors come from in Tiberian Sun (and the opening cut scene of Westwood's C&C 3: Incursion, which claims a Tiberium meteor has landed in downtown Las Vegas)? Can it be assumed the Scrin continue to pelt tiny seeds of Tiberium on Earth after the initial large impact meteor that landed by the Tiber River in the 1990s?

No, Westwood didn't have a plain laid down or out.
They had several directions, nothing more. Nothing fleshed out.
(and the opening cut scene of Westwood's C&C 3: Incursion, which claims a Tiberium meteor has landed in downtown Las Vegas)?
That was just a pre rendered proof of concept. Not any opening cut scene or even mission.
But good questions, thanks.

Regardless of what it was, what was the canonical explanation for the Tiberium meteors in both games? Natural Tiberium impacts, or malicious further seedings by the Scrin?

I'm not sure if there was a proper canonical explanation. A lot of unexplained things in the storyline have yet to receive appropriate canonical explanations.

There r 2 explainations of wut happened to the tiberian creatures that make sense.
1: GDI went and killed them all because they were a severe threat.
2: When tiberium evolved, they just died out because the new tiberium infected them to levels that even their mutated bodies couldn't handle (though theory #1 makes more sense)

Actually, I think theory two makes way more sense. GDI doesn't have the manpower to systematically destroy every mutated creature. It'd require many costly expeditions into the most hellish parts of the Tiberium infected Earth. The mutants probably died of natural causes.
