Thats a bit like saying a King Oni rush or an Apocolypse Tank rush. You could try to tech earlier than you opponent, but you realy need to have put some pressure on your enemy before Mirage Tank time, and some Multigunners would be needed anyway to gaurd Mirages from air.

True, but just think, if you could get mirage tanks out in a reasonable time, it would be just about unstoppable, so long as your not playing against an allied player.

If you had air covered and some support against heavy manspam. Some PK/ Dog IFVs would work decently.

The only problem I forsee is the cost, it would definately require a bit of money to pull this off.

The tech-up to teir 2 is faster and thus drains your cash more noticeably than the techup to tier 3, it is usualy a good idea to start teching to teir 3 a bit early if your MCV is in position and you have nothing better to do.

Now, what build order would pump out mirage tanks as soon as possible?

You would need to be harrassing/ gaurding before you could get them even if it was as fast as possible. (Unless its some 2v2v2/ffa game and you take a risk.) Either attack first with teir 1, maybe manspam, next with teir 2, and then 3. That would be fairly fast if you could pull it off.

OK. for this tier 3 "rush" I would have to go:-

Note: I know it can't be done within 10K, but it is a tier 3 strat!

Protocols, HighTech Upgrade, then chronoswap.

BO: Rax - Scout, Eng for oil.
PP
REF
REF
PP
WF 1 x IFV
HC
3 x guardians, 1 x spy,

Send all to enemy base, ASAP. Infiltrate ref to give 2K boost, this should be enough to complete Max Clearance.

Harass with guardians, as soon as Max Clearance is finished, build mirages.

As soon as first one rolls out, chronoswap should be available (this is tried and tested by the way).

Chronswap it with the guardian that has taken the biggest punishment, and voila, not only is a mirage in their base, but you also have a guardian there for laser pointing and you have already researched high tech upgrade on the way.

It's not perfect, but it's the best reply to this topic I can think of.

It can be done, it's very risky, but it's possible. The problem is, what if the enemy takes the fight to you as opposed as you harrassing with your guardians?

Also, you would need multigunners and/or javelins cause by the time you have tier 3, I'm sure your opponent will have at least tier 2, which means, strikers, and soviet choppers.

Another thing that might sc rew you over is HD (although it practically screws anything over but still lol) so you gotta watch out for those suicidal "near-dead" units.

I can't believe that word filters
