It seems every Empire player that I go against in the 400 level and below uses a Dojo rush and goes straight for my refineries!
Is it wise to only Dojo rush other Empire players or..?

The standard player will create 3 dojos, one to get a burst drone, and the other 2 to get the oil derricks. however, the occasional player will send 1 or 2 dojos to your base, and try to wall them off and use an engineer to capture or force you to sell a structure. then they will sell the dojos and tengu rush as fast as possible.
really, a few TBs are the best counter, but remembere that if you build too many, that it will slow your tengus down, giving him the advantage anyway. However, it would be possible to put those TBs in a sudden transport to destroy some harvestors in his base. (5 TBs take 2 shots to deatroy a harvestor)

youd probably have 5 tengus already when the core reaches ur base xD

not really,burst drone slows it considerably, but it still gets there fast enough to be a problem.

yeah but not fast enough to rly be effective (ex. if the rush is slower by 15s tht means 3 tankbusters waiting on the coast for you)

but think about it, 3 TBs are 900, 1 dojo is 500. then you have to add in the cost of the burst drone that isn't scouting. it could end up being cost effective for the dojo rusher, unless the other player puts his TBs to good use. (either sudden trnasporting them to enemy harvestors, or putting them in garrisons on Temple Prime.)
but, also, if you scout dojos coming, you can have TBs waiting for him whether you use the burst drone or not.

Why not just build an engi ready for them?
500 is cheaper than 900, no?
Alternatively you could not be a fool and actually wall up your refs from gamestart... :/

if you build engineer he sells the rax,kills your engi and camps your rax with sword for some time.Then he gets the advantage,you lose your infantry production for 4-5 seconds and 500 creds,he loses 250 creds

or he just brings two dojos and uses one to run over your engie, then to camp the barracks, while the other deploys.

I actually did that just the other day. build a TB before getting the Engie (I had walled off the dojo so they wouldn't die.)

Ok noobs here's the 10 yen counter: build a wall in the middle square of the dojo, because the engineer walks outside of the 2 walls to capture your ref, with your imperial warrior waiting.

Yeah, I've realized this since we had this discussion. If a wall segment is on both sides of the exit, the engie will bug out and go around the 2 wall segments, allowing him to be killed by your units.easy fix.
BTW, SHHH..., you're giving them ideas. Now I can't beat them with the strat anymore (sarcasm)

Though this may sound irrelevant i usually have 2 shinobi's and 3 tankbusters inside a hidden transport disguised as one of my tsunami tanks near some of my important buildings then when an engineer or anything ground like i would let the tankbusters and shinobi's handle them.
