I seem to have encountered a weird bug in the SDK or something.

I have copied the soviet reactor and changed the name and base stats, nothing big.
But when it's build up is done, the game crashes.
And it's only with power structures + soviet build system that I have this problem.

Other structures(e.g. barracks) work perfectly fine.
it's just the power plant that does this in my 2 mods that use this system.

w00t. I also copied the Soviet reactor and changed it to what I want without any issues, and I'm sure others did as well.

something wrong with your model? the rest seems ok to me. maybe test your model with another (working) game object.
+ get rid of any unused model and animation state... just in case.

I just can't figure this out.

I have literally just copied the soviet power plant and still get a crash.

you deleted a large amount of animations im pretty sure for a soviet building scaffolding and platform draws are pretty important

I don't see how.
Being that game crashes after the build up animation is done.

try removing this behavior it references the scaffolding code you deleted

I vaguely remember having some trouble with the <Define> element for a new unit that had the same name as another <Define> in another file. Perhaps changing the name of SOVIET_POWERPLANT_LOCAL_UNPACK_TIME to something else would fix your problem.
