I am not overreacting. The stupidity and/or lack of care on parts of the folks over there knows no limits, and I have provided evidence times aplenty. I'm not sure though what's your interest in defending people who "keep C&C alive" by posting hokum, pointing others to 404 errors or just ignore them if help with something older than TS is needed.

And I consider this particular case dead rather than done, for obvious reasons.

Then why not just help the folks that need it and ignore foolish suggestions like removing 1.03?

That's surely a reasonable premise... problem is, it's not just some random fools "recommending" that, but this disinformation is being spread at Strike-Team, who supposedly are "keeping C&C alive". There's enough problems as far as cooperation with EA is concerned already; we frankly don't need another party like Strike-Team to assume their attitude.

As far as helping out goes, I have posted lots of info on various stuff over the past few months in their help forum. Sadly, when the "help team", rather than just being useless on many things, becomes counterproductive and deletes correct info, one has to ask oneself whether there's still a point.

They apparently are still unable (or unwilling) to help anyone with RA1 problems, still approach the wretched LAN patch issue (discussed and explained to death by me, and more recently by Nyerguds as well) in a wrong way, and a three-page discussion has fruited in basically nothing. As I mentioned, I consider more than enough of my time wasted already.

Im gonna finish this now, and i have 101% proof that EA is very willing to help us guys out, but you have to remember that a lot of these old games have red tape attached to them.

So if people ask right, nicly and wait, perhaps the guys at EA who do actualy care about and play these games still will be able to pull strings.

nyer your blue CMD box (lol you made it blue) when dealing with RA1 main.mix should read "this can take from a few minutes to a few hours" going on hour 3 here... on external HDD on a celeron 1.7, still i didnt expect it to take this long...

That's not Nyerguds patch, it's Nathans...

And REV 5 should have no CMD box, it's coming soon.

I know its not nyer's, but from what i read on the site it was from something he did which is why i aimed it at him (nvm wrong name...)

also upon finish the fact the next/back button is still present throws some people (me) off since you end it with another option box. (also their seems to be a CNCNet update out, EDIT2: nvm... according to a news post today CNCNet is to be off-lined for the foreseeable future due to lack of dev/support, EDIT3: which sucks majorly considering i just reinstalled today, joined the chat to find people for a game, found 4 people ready/willing for a game... SURPRISE OFFLINED SAME DAY... IRONY)

It has to sort and re-write a file that's about 1 GB... for the rest, it's the VPatch program that does it. I can't control how that reacts on your PC or HD. Complaints can be sent to Koen Van De Sande (the TibEd guy) -_-

As for CnCNet, even more ironically, the guy curently responsible for the project uses the nickname "Irony" :p

Even if i get the high resolution working tomorrow, the RA patch will have to have a lot of testing, so it might not be ready until 1.05.
