I'm thinking of buying this game for my PS3, now before you all leap in and say buy it on PC, I know its better, but that isn't the question, have the devs shown any intention of servicing console players as well as they service PC customers through patches/dlc/expansions. I ask because browsing through I notice quite a few complaints about balance, and I also didn't think much of the graphics, desperately needed some more AA and the shadows were off.

Thanks in advance.

No, the PS3 simply can't be patched in the same way a PC can.

I think that depends on how badly the devs want to patch it, there's plenty of PS3 games who have recieved substantial patching

I didn't say it couldn't be patched, I said it couldn't be patched the same way.

PS3 version = port, EA has focused more on the PC version than the other two versions.

The ps3 has some sound problems which the devs do not intent to fix as i saw, you can read yourself at the ra3 tech forum on a sticky, it will not recieve any sort of patches even in gamebreaking bug situations, there is quite much activity online though, the game itself has thousands of bugs (which you will probably never noticed 3/4 of them) and most of them are exploitable, the choice is yours, if i didn't have a pc i would buy it there tbh.

We are currently not working on a patch for PS3 or 360 as its a completely different beast of a system to update the console versus the PC. There are parameters around XBOX Live and PSN that make it very difficult to patch our games in the same way we do for PC, this has been the case since we first released BFME 2 on XBOX 360.

While a small subset of the console gamers are passionate about equal PC support for console, I believe the dominant core are more casual RTS gamers. I can't equate this to any substantial truth, but generally speaking, console players, especially console RTS, are much more casual and single player oriented than PC.

That said, this is an ongoing issue that we have not cracked and I can't promise patch support for PS3 to help sway your decision to purchase Red Alert 3 for PS3.

The 5.1 surround sound issue, I am looking in to. But right now, Patch 1.11 is only being developed on PC at the moment. We are working on some very cool PDLC for 360 and PS3 however.

Apologies on the unfortunate answer, but I do hope you purchase Red Alert 3 for PS3 as it's been received very well by critics and consumers.

I play on my ps3, and ra3 quite a bit psn:btar93 add if you like. Just put ra3 forums or something in the msg

And the statment, saying that console, ps3 or 360 gamers prefer single player is BULLSHIT why would you play a single player game if you can go online and definately not ra3 as every mission is the same objective etc. I like ra3 but the same cannot be said for EA.

If you are going to go multiplatform at least support it ffs. And yes ok it may be harder to update etc but just get it done EA. The game is straight forward and repetitive as it is and without new features... well I like, play and enjoy ra3 but i dont want it 2 become another un - updated ps3 etc RTS that is left 2 rot. e.g Tom Clancys Endwar. RTS should be made mainly for pc just like first person shooters for ps3 and xbox.

im done Let the abuse begin

Actually APOC, I have a question regarding that. . . how come people like Infinity Ward can patch Call of Duty 4 any time they want, (obviously after all the testing) and you guys can't patch a game that revolves around equality? Just let me know if you can.

Yes, I made this epic sig.
