Red Alert 3: Uprising Clarifications

Hmm so basically im more confused after this clarification...

Let me get this straight, No MP mode in uprising? correct, that means i will not need to buy this for competitive play, meanwhile what happens to all the new units and such that were added in uprising will they be added over in RA3 base game? if not thats completely pointless... as you may have listened to some fans... but what about the fans that have NEVER EVER touched the SINGLE PLAYER in RA3 base game...... that want new units and new maps... as the same 6 maps are already getting quite boring to play on...

This is starting to make sense to me now. So we will get new units and maps, with the ability to get used to them in skirmish mode.
The campaigns will be shorter, maybe half the length of the RA3 campaigns but there will be a bonus campaign for Yuriko.
It was stated that one of the campaigns will be a dungeon crawler type, so I'm assuming it will be like an RPG? Maybe like the old RA1 indoor maps?
Maybe they are not releasing the multiplayer because they need to balance the new units first? Something that is needed for online but not for single player?

Excellent point there KiF. I only played it through about half of it.

This is why you release a traditional expansion pack like Kane's Wrath. Why fix what is not broken?

Guys, even though there is a skirmish mode. It will be single player only.
You will not be able to play real people online with these cool new units like the desolator.
Iam very let down.

true id rather see traditional as well, but i guess if they do release a MP expansion it better be alot cheaper than what a traditional expansion costs. and not a big retail price like 19.99 or something... but with the way most game devs are turning for DLC type things they usually just rip people off with a system like this, and end up costing more in the long run.... the mp expansion will probably cost 29.99 or something ridiculous just because...

i just wish a game dev would ever release a game with more than 8 maps though... that would be cool as well..

Sounds like a torrent search to me.

There will be a multiplayer pack later on and it is possible that it will contain all these units + eventually even more units. Maybe a new faction then.....

It would be great to have 4vs4 (8 players) or even 5vs5 (10 players) support now since it's singleplayer only. That could have made up much of it.

when will they announce the multiplayer pack though... and if the EA store is correct of 19.99 thats kinda of a ripoff for half a game, assuming KW only cost 19.99 and that was a full expansion pack =/ sure hope Apoc is correct and that the final retail price hasnt been announced yet...

i assume things like units and stuff will be available in patches. Everything else i assume would be exclusive to the expansion.

Well this sux, i hoped for a real expansion, but now we will have to pay for just another "patch" with a few sp missions. And there is not even gonna be a coop and multiplayer. Im not sure that is a correct course of action EA. Dont ruin another great potenicial. This smells like Red Alert 1: Counterstirke. It suxxx

You could easily include this content for free in a patch like Sacred 2, where they add more stuff in patches all the time and for free, or even for a small nominal price like 10$ or so. Hope negative responce from comunity will put you back on right track.

This has only just been announced. No pricing has been set, take what the online store says with a pinch of salt.
Maybe if you buy the SP thing you will be able to download the MP for free? Maybe if you buy just the MP, you will have the option to buy the SP part for a reduced price?

So, if we dont need RA3....

What will happen to the original game?

II think its like DOW, ur get only certain features when u get only an ex pack. And if u get the whole thing, all features are enabled.

If so, that makes things much more sence, we cant let the Original RA3 go to waste shall we?

I'm going to be frank with you Mr. APOC ............. i think EA is gonna juice us for more money...............

I got two options: Buy either the vanilla game or the stand-alone "booster pack".

Yep, I never brought RA3, and now check it out. I can buy what I want without spending extra money.

This is either a money-grabbing plan or a consumer-savings plan. It's up to your perception.

That, and the refusal to buy any of the products.
