I've been thinking of becoming an expat. I haven't the funds for it at the moment, but my criteria would be a)somewhere free (my basic test for this is if I can still smoke in a pub) and b) somewhere loyal to the Crown.

well Canada fails on that...even buying cigs is a chore let alone expensive theses days

Nothin better than waking up in sweat to go to work in a derelict office in your same clothes as yesterday to only go home again for a break before going back to work and then spending a fortune on food for the evening and for leisure there is always the beach and well.....sightseeing in a city half way across the country from you.

Last I heard they were considering a smoking ban, but I don't know much more than that. Yes, Gibraltar would be nice, though I can't afford owt at the moment, let alone a move abroad.
